Quintas Newsletter
Introduction
by Paul O' Connell, Partner

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the Christmas edition of our newsletter.

As this is our final newsletter of the year it provides us with a chance to reflect on what has proven to be a very busy, demanding and enjoyable year for the team in Quintas.

We have continued our investment in our team which is without doubt our most valued asset. Headcount increased by 15% in 2017 with a similar increase planned for 2018 on the back of our recently launched graduate recruitment campaign.

We invested in an executive development program in 2017 working with Tara Nolan, a specialist in leadership and team coaching.  We look forward to working with Tara again in 2018.

One of the highlights of our year was undoubtedly our staff trip to Iceland in June. What a fabulous 3 days we shared with memories that will last for many years to come. Thanks again to our hardworking social committee who organised the trip along with all the other social events during the year.

As we turn the final page on the 2017 yearbook, we would like to express our thanks and gratitude to our clients for their continued loyalty and custom. 2017 was another stellar year in terms of our growth, the majority of which has been referred to us by our existing clients. Your loyalty and belief in our service offering is much appreciated and we look forward to working with you in 2018 and beyond.

Finally, we would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Tracker Mortgage Scandal – where will it end?
by Mark Ryan - Director

Given the number of people impacted by the tracker mortgage scandal, which the most recent Central Bank report puts at 33,700, one could not be accused of being overdramatic by deeming it to be one the biggest robberies in the history of our state.

A glimpse at the life of a Trainee Accountant - Childhood dreams becoming reality
by Jennifer Kelly, Trainee

From the days spent playing shop as a little girl becoming an Accountant has always been a dream of mine.

Subject choices in secondary school were chosen with this dream in mind. Selection of my third level CAO choices was the next stage of the journey, with first preferences being carefully chosen with the final destination to the forefront of my thinking.
